Project Goal: Write a Screenplay to an Animated Musical.
Find a good mentor - Leo Beaudet has been writing scripts with students in the ALP Project for many years. Leo is in the mist of writing his own book while he takes time out of his busy work day to help me. I'm very grateful.
Find the right app to write the script on - I had the great pleasure of already having the app "Movie Draft SE," that formats the entire script for me.
Made outline of scenes/entire script - Leo's first job for me was to make a full outline of every scene of the film, so to see what I was planning for the whole movie.
Scheduling order of scene writing - Leo and I then ordered each scene from ones I knew how to write, and then write the ones I knew I'd need more work on.
Writing scenes every week - I try writing as many pages as I can each week. So far it has been a good technique.
Meet mentor every week to edit and talk over each scene - I meet Leo at the Mansfield Library every Wednesday or Thursday (judging by our schedules) to go over every page and see where I can improve.
